The Warning

lyrics

I went digging in the earth for truth, left empty handed like I always do, when I saw you there. An oasis in a sea of dunes, I picked your face out of a crowded room when I saw you there. Told myself, "If you want her to want you, be cool and get off your ass and make a move!"

I suspect that we both have our reasons for being skeptical. My mirror bends my ear, says "Don't mess this up, you will not be forgiven."

So tell me what you think about how all our friends are always hanging out around my house. Are we ever gonna be alone? I don't wanna die alone but I think I might. We are young, so young, but before we're done you will have to know I want you so.

I suspect that we both have our reasons for being skeptical. My mirror bends my ear, says "Don't you mess this up, you will not be forgiven. No, don't you fuck this up, you will never outlive it."
